Planting a Strawberry Guava Tree

I love guavas! I love making guava arroz con leche, guava atole, and this past fall I made a guava oxymel. And guava leaf tea helps to lower blood sugar spikes, and it’s antibacterial and anti-fungal among other benefits.

So it’s no surprise I had to plant a guava tree this year. I picked the strawberry guava tree because I love that deep orange-magenta color it develops and the taste is sweet and fruity and absolutely mouth-watering! Some folks say it has notes of strawberry. I think it tastes like no other. Here it is, y’all!
