Transplanting, Weeding & Measuring Beds

Everyday I try to do a least one small task. Somedays, once I get started, I get in the flow of things, and I’m able to do several tasks. I’m tired, but I want to do so much more! I love this work I’m doing with farming. Every step of the way, from laying down the silage tarp to laying down compost to researching the drip system is exhilarating and rejuvenating. I have found what I want to do for the third act of my life! It’s where I belong.

When I first went to college, my goal was to earn a career that I liked and that would sustain me and my family so I’d never have to endure poverty, again. But I never got a chance to dream. I won’t share every detail of my dream, but this place I dream of will be a place where community will come to learn, to heal, to cook and to commune with each other. It will be a place where healers will come and share their gifts, knowledge and wisdom.

I want swings on trees everywhere. And hammocks, too! Swings and hammocks from which people can contemplate the sky and feel like it’s reachable. I have a vision now! I have something I can to work toward for myself. Something I can build from scratch.
