SOMETIMES

Sometimes

When I’m having trouble figuring out what life’s about

What’s my purpose?

Why am I here?

Rather than ponder the mysteries of life

The complexities of my being

I open my front door, which faces South

The direction of the sun

I sit on the stoop

And let the sun touch me

It’s warmth soothing

the parts of me

that feel anxious and confused

And just like that

I understand

Not in words

But in a feeling
