The golden grass
vulnerable and resilient
bows to the wind
humbles its form to
its surroundings
anchored by its identity
gently endures
The tree
robust and stern
impervious in its stature
confronts the wind
obstinate branches and roots
discover frailty
anchored by its identity
violently uprooted, perishes
Vulnerability, the ability to feel it and to be in it, is the strength that allows us to break down the walls we have created about ourselves and our lives. We must be like wild grass, so rooted in our being that not even the strength of a tornado can uproot us. When we open our hearts to the situations in our lives and accept what we feel and why from within, we will see that in our vulnerability we will be completely empowered.
